  • GPS metrics: total distance, sprint distance, accelerations, player load.
  • RPE & wellness questionnaires: how to implement in academies.
  • Case study: identifying overtraining from session data.


Session 3: Strength, Power & Speed Development:

  • Translating gym work to pitch performance.
  • Designing integrated warm-up and gym sessions.
  • Example: in-season vs. off-season contrast.
     

Assignment:


  • Build a 7-day tactical periodisation microcycle (show load variation & objectives).
  • Submit a sample player load tracking sheet (Excel or Google Sheet).

  • Progressive load restoration and psychological readiness.
  • Case study: phased RTP plan after hamstring strain.
     

Session 3: Interdisciplinary Collaboration in High-Performance Units:

  • How S&C, physiotherapy, and coaching staff interact.
  • Building communication protocols and feedback loops.
  • Using daily monitoring dashboards (Google Sheets or GPS apps).


Session 4: Data, Analysis & Reporting for Decision-Making:

  • Designing and presenting performance dashboards.
  • Case study: comparing match intensity vs. training load.
  • How to use visual reports for coaches and management.
     

Assignment:


  • Submit a 4-week performance plan (including GPS or workload targets).
  • Include 1-page return-to-play protocol for a sample injury.
  • Optional: record 3-min voice/video presentation explaining your program.
